Operated by: Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services
đź“– Description
Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS) is a statewide behavioral health crisis response program designed to support children, teens, and young adults experiencing a mental or behavioral health crisis.
When a youth is in crisis, trained behavioral health professionals can respond to the location where the youth is — such as a home, school, or community setting — to help de-escalate the situation and create a safety plan.
MRSS teams provide immediate crisis intervention and short-term stabilization support to help families safely manage the situation and connect to ongoing services in their community. Services may include follow-up support for several weeks to help stabilize the youth and family after the crisis.
đź•’ Hours
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through crisis access lines.
Response times vary, but teams aim to respond quickly and may arrive within about 60 minutes when mobile response is requested.
📍 Location
Statewide service available across all 88 counties in Ohio.
Services are provided where the youth is located, such as:
- Home
- School
