Family Group Session: Learn how new tools are helping FACCES families build calm routines, positive behaviors, and stronger relationships
Building Connection
Family Group Sessions at FACCES provide families with practical tools to strengthen connection, promote self-regulation, and encourage positive behavior and conversations between family members—helping create a happier and healthier home environment.
Session Overview
During these sessions, families explored simple, research-backed strategies that support emotional intelligence and positive discipline. These tools are designed to help parents respond rather than react, model calmness for children, and build routines that nurture cooperation and communication at home. Families are also hearing from other families highlighting the importance of having a village within the community.
February Session Preview: The Power of Empathy
Our upcoming Family Group Session in February will focus on one of the most powerful tools for connection—empathy. When family members learn to see from another’s perspective, they create space for understanding, cooperation, and emotional safety.
Empathy doesn’t mean agreeing with everything; it means choosing to listen, acknowledge feelings, and respond with care. This session will explore practical ways family units can:
- Recognize and name emotions
- Listen without immediately reacting or fixing
- Respond in ways that support connection
- Build trust through understanding
When parents model empathy, children learn that their feelings matter—and that they’re not alone when navigating big emotions. Empathy becomes a bridge to stronger communication and healthier relationships at home.
Join us in February to discover how practicing empathy can transform everyday interactions and strengthen your family from the inside out.
We hope to see you there!
