FACCES K Ready Ohio is a free online tool to help families prepare their children for kindergarten and beyond. The program educates families on the importance of early childhood education and engaging in their child’s development to prepare for kindergarten readiness.
FACCES K Ready Ohio guides families through a series of milestones, with assignments to identify and focus on their child’s individual development needs and goals.

Assessing Your Child’s Development
Families are encouraged to complete two screenings regarding their child’s current stage of development. They review and interpret the assessment results of both an Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ-3) and an Ages and Stages Questionnaire Social-Emotional (ASQ-SE) provided by FACCES K Ready Ohio.
Reviewing and Interpreting Assessment Results
Families review and learn to interpret their child’s results. The summary reports for their child’s ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE can be accessed inside FACCES K Ready Ohio.
Setting Goals based on Results
Guided by the results of their child’s individual assessment scores, parents and caregivers can set goals and generate activities to do at home using the current Ohio Early Learning Development Standards.
Reporting Progress at Home
Families report their child’s progress using the goals and actvities generated in FACCES K Ready Ohio. They can celebrate milestones achieved, and direct more practice and focus as needed.
Sharing Success
Children learn the most from play. Parents are encouraged to complete fun activities with their child and to share their understanding of kindergarten readiness.
Transitioning to Kindergarten
FACCES K Ready Ohio guides parents through the process of enrollment in Kindergarten. The Kindergarten Transition Toolkit features key steps and considerations for families in their child’s enrollment in kindergarten.
